what i meant was that the bay area coastline tends to be foggy in july (sunshine downtown and foggy on the coast). we lived in san rafael all through the 90s, and in other parts of the bay area earlier.

@john4jack: Oh, okay, I didn't realize that. I was born and raised here in SF. I remember when summer came by, we would have to bundle up. Lately, it would be foggy in the mornings and later during the day the sun would come out. For instance, there was no sun today, all day, just the way I like it.
